Scientific data on the scalp microbiota of alopecia sufferers was scarce.

To combat the multifactor issues affecting the hair growth cycle, Hair Rituel by Sisley’s Laboratories have carried out in-depth research to better understand this complex biological process.
This research has uncovered two major areas for innovation and a new way to combat universal hair loss and hair ageing.
The role of the scalp microbiota
Scientific data on the scalp microbiota of alopecia sufferers was scarce.
Hair Rituel by Sisley Laboratories identified and characterised two specific bacterial strains present in alopecia sufferers. A major breakthrough. These bacteria contribute to the inflammation of the hair follicle and this inflammation is a key cause of hair loss.
Ginger Extract
So the issue is limiting this inflammation. Our research identified a specific Ginger extract as a solution. This key ingredient was chosen from many via a screening process as it was shown to have the best performance: it was the most effective anti-inflammatory.
Hair Rituel by Sisley’s Laboratories added this extract to the new Super Serum formula. This powerful active ingredient limits inflammation of the hair follicle, which is specifically linked to these two bacterial strains, to slow down hair loss.

Organic Ginger extract from Mauritius is obtained via supercritical CO2 extraction from finely ground ginger roots.
